聯合國大會2758號決議。二七五八 (二十六). 恢復中華人民共和國在聯合國的合法權利
　　大會，回顧聯合國憲章的原則，考慮到，恢復中華人民共和國的合法權利對於維護聯合國憲章和聯合國組織根據憲章所必須從事的事業都是必不可少的，承認中華人民共和國政府的代表是中國在聯合國組織的唯一合法代表，中華人民共和國是安全理事會五個常任理事國之一，
　　決定：恢復中華人民共和國的一切權利，承認她的政府的代表爲中國在聯合國組織的唯一合法代表並立即把蔣介石的代表從它在聯合國組織及其所屬一切機構中所非法佔據的席位上驅逐出去。

舊金山合約（由48個戰勝國與戰敗國日本於1951年9月8日在美國舊金山所簽訂的和約，並且於1952年4月28日正式生效。）
領土篇
日本国承认朝鲜的独立，济州岛、巨文岛及鬱陵島的主权归朝鲜所有。 日本国放弃台湾及澎湖列岛权利。

3.Cairo Declairation (1943)《開羅宣言》

It is their(the three great Allies) purpose that Japan shall be stripped of all the islands in the Pacific which she has seized or occupied since the beginning of World War I in 1914, and all the territories Japan has stolen from the Chinese, such as  Manchuria, Formosa, and the Pescadores shall be restored to the Republic of China.
三個同盟國的目標是剝除日本從第一次世界大戰後在太平洋上奪取或佔領的島嶼，同時日本自中國所偷竊的所有領土，包含滿州、台灣、與澎湖群島，都必須歸還中國。

2. Potsdam Proclamation《波茲坦公告》

(1) We, the President of the United States, the President of the National Government of the Republic of China, and the Prime Minister of Great Britain,representing the hundreds of millions of our countrymen, have conferred and agree that Japan shall be given an opportunity to end the war.
我們, 美國總統, 中華民國國民政府主席, 大英首相代表我們上億的國民同意日本應被給予機會停止戰爭.
(8) The terms of the Cairo declaration shall be carried out and Japanese sovereignty shall be limited to the islands of Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, Shikoku and such minor islands as we determine.
開羅宣言的條款必須被實現且日本國統治權必須被限制在本州、北海道、九州、四國以及其他我們所決定的小島上。

1. INSTRUMENT OF SURRENDER《日本國投降書》

We, acting by command of and in behalf of the Emperor of Japan, the Japanese Government and the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters, hereby accept the provisions set forth in the declaration issued by the Heads of the Governments of the United States, China, and Great Britain on 26 July 1945 at Potsdam, and subsequently adhered to by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, which four powers are hereafter referred to as the Allied Powers.
我們, 受日本天皇, 日本政府, 日本軍部之命, 接受所有由美國, 中國, 和英國政府元首在1945年7月26日在波茨坦發表的宣言, 及其後蘇維埃政府所附加，此四方於後文通稱同盟國......
We hereby proclaim the unconditional surrender to the Allied Powers of the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters and of all Japanese armed forces and all armed forces under the Japanese control wherever situated. We hereby undertake for the Emperor, the Japanese Government and their successors to carry out the provisions of the Potsdam Declaration in good faith, and to issue whatever orders and take whatever actions may be required by the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers or by any other designated representative of the Allied Powers for the purpose of giving effect to that Declaration.
我們在此宣佈日本軍部與所有日本軍隊及日本所控制之軍隊無條件投降於同盟國。我們在此代表天皇，日本政府以及其後繼者必將信守實施波茨坦宣言，並發表命令與配合履行所有盟軍最高統帥或任何其他指派代表為了實踐波次坦宣言可能的要求。
